Our scrapbooking group has done some flocking over the last little while. You can see on our site some of the results of flocking, although the texture of flocking is best seen in person.

http://benjiscrapsoffaith.wordpress.com/2014/03/18/photos-from-the-flocking-lesson/Flocking is simply done as you just spread on glue to all of the surface you want covered, and then press the flocking onto the surface. Its much like adding sparkles.
You will notice in the photos that we are using a folded paper. we use that to press down the flocking onto the paper and into the glue.
Flocking gives an interesting touch to letters and embellishments. Its great on teddy bears or flowers...
