Janelles Scrappiness
« on: September 30, 2012, 03:01:05 pm »
A technique I have been wanting to try for a very long time, making your own paste and getting really messy......  Had to clean it off the door, and the doorknob, and....  lol   I think I misted it too much and too dark to begin with so lost alot of the detail.  So I made some white mist and tryed to soften it.   Had a great time, and will be playing with this again!

It's a beautiful page Janelle ... I love he soft colors that you worked with and those beautiful little flowers scattered throughout.  I just threw away all of my mists, gave away all of my paints and stickles, but I still love what other people are doing with them.

Resa -
Its Flying Unicorn and it was the Sept. Gesso 101
I linked up actually from Pat's blog..  I was SO upset about being disqualifyed from the SYAO1 contest on Paper Secrets....  So as I was hoping FOR A RESPONSE (WHICH i STILL HAVEN'T GOTTEN)  I was just looking for SOMETHING to inspire me, and Pat was talking about how much she had learned, and I clicked over...
First randomly punch your border
I made paste - I didn't have Gesso or access to it quickly - so I substituted Latex Paint - 1 pt "Gesso" 1 part baby powder and 1/2 part Mod Podge
and paste thru templates, and then just take over... mists, paints, rubons... cardboard, whatever...  I am HOOKED
I love it !!!
