Dirty Embossing Folders

(1/2) > >>

Resa:
Hey there! Time to break out your embossing folders and get them dirty.
This month's Ink challenge is to use ink or paint or any wet colorant to bring out the details in an embossed image.
I am "borrowing" a couple of technique images from the web to help you along if you have never done this before.

Here are mine. I chose to do cards, but you can do any paper crafting project for this challenge.

for my embossed image I dirtied up the folder by just rubbing my ink pad on top of the side I wanted to highlight.
Then I inserted the paper and ran it through my Big Shot, much like this artist did here:

you don't have to use the embossing powder as she does, but it does look great if you do.

Otherwise, if you own a brayer, you can ink your folder up like this gal does:

now if you don't have a brayer or embossing folders you can participate this way.
Stamp an image.
Heat emboss some powder on it.
Then simple use a sponge and some ink to color around it, like this gal has done.

See where we are going here?
I want to see some highlighted raised images.
Can't wait to see what you do.
